Belgium weather overview
Always be prepared for rain in Belgium as the weather is very changeable. The summer months (May to September) are generally warm with between six and seven hours of sunshine a day. Central Belgium, which is hilly, is slightly warmer than the coast but pays for it with chillier winters.
The Ardennes region in the south has the harshest winters with long periods of snow but its summers, although cooler than in other parts of the country, are fairly sunny and pleasant.
What to pack for Belgium weather
Layers of light-to-warmish clothes are fine for most of the year but you will need to wrap up warm to face winter in the Ardennes. Always take rainwear.
