Cameroon weather overview

Cameroon lies in Central Africa, bordering Nigeria, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon. It also has a short coastline along the Gulf of Guinea. Only visit the south of this country if you don't mind lots of rain - it can bucket down at any time of year but is particularly heavy between March and October. Indeed, the moist winds of the Guinea Monsoon give parts of Mount Cameroon near Limbe the dubious distinction of recording the highest rainfall in the world. Best time to visit is between December and February, when conditions are sunnier and dryer. The north of the country has a wet season from May to September, and a long dry season.
