Oman Air flights from the UK
The Arabian airline has celebrated a decade of flying from London Heathrow (LHR), and introduced flights from Manchester (MAN) to Muscat, all as part of a larger network expansion.
Oman Air now operates twice daily to Muscat from LHR plus a daily flight from MAN, while travellers can connect on to more than 30 destinations from Muscat, including Dubai and Zanzibar and Nairobi.
The latest codeshare agreements also make Oman Air a popular choice for great value travel between Europe and the Middle East.
Oman Air's Sinbad frequent flyer programme
Oman Air's loyalty programme, Sindbad, now has around half a million members, and by downloading and accessing the Sindbad app on your mobile you can choose from a range of privileges and special offers.
The scheme gives discounts on duty free purchases, extra luggage allowances, lounge access, and upgrades, as well as the ability to check your miles balance, tier progress and book, check in, and amend your next Oman Air flight.
Flying with Oman Air
Oman Air has a fast growing fleet of aircraft operating across domestic and international routes, including a large Boeing 737-800s as well Dreamliner 787s.
Oman Air is also the first airline in the Gulf to operate the state-of-the-art Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft series while daily flights from the UK to Muscat are on Airbus A330-300s and A330-200s, which have generous seat pitches, even in economy.
Economy class
Jet off in Oman Air's economy class and you'll benefit from comfortable seats with a standard pitch of 34 inches, mounted 10.6 inch LCD screens, and an extensive and varied menu of international and Arabic dishes to enjoy inflight. Economy passengers also receive complimentary hot and cold soft drinks.
The airline has recently launched a new option for passengers to pre-order extra baggage and extra legroom seats in economy class in advance of its flights online or via the Oman Air app.

First class passengers can relax with Oman Air's luxurious facilities including dedicated security and staff before take off, and a special first class lounge at Muscat Airport with extensive services, including personal chef and relaxation rooms.
Once in the air the fully flat beds, mini suite configuration with aisle access for all, and a limit of six passengers in the cabin mean privacy and rest is guaranteed; at 87 inches, the seat pitch is the longest lie-flat seat on any commercial airliner.

Oman Air baggage allowance
Oman Air has a generous checked baggage allowance giving passengers in any class of travel two checked items free of charge, though no one single bag can weigh more than 32 kg.
Those travelling with infants in can bring an additional piece of baggage up to a maximum of 10 kg as well as an infant carry basket, cot or baby stroller at no extra charge.

In addition, passengers signed up to Oman Air's Sindbad loyalty programme benefit from extra baggage allowances: Sindbad Silver and Gold members enjoy the usual business and first class baggage allowance of 50 kg even if travelling in economy, and are given an extra 10 kg when travelling in business or first class, bringing the total allowance to 60 kg.
Economy passengers can pre-book additional bags online or via the app at a discounted fee.
