Virgin Atlantic cabin classes
Virgin Atlantic believes in giving you the best experience possible by making your long-haul journey comfortable and enjoyable.
With three cabin classes to choose from, each guaranteeing a certain standard of service and facilities, there's a ticket for every budget, and the low fare offers from Virgin Atlantic could make things even more affordable. The three classes are:
Virgin Atlantic Economy
Virgin Atlantic is overhauling its economy offering with 'three new ways to fly' from spring 2018. Rather than one straightforward option, you can choose from Economy Lite, Economy Classic, and Economy Delight.
While retaining an emphasis on great service and facilities for all economy passengers, the three fare options will allow a wider range of travellers' needs to be met, from budget and luggage-free to all-encompassing with priority boarding.
Every economy passenger can count on the following when flying with Virgin Atlantic:
- hand luggage (up to 10 kg)
- drinks and snacks throughout
- three course meal
- inflight entertainment
- kids' goodie bags (international flights)
- blanket, pillow, and headphones
- in-seat USB power
- wifi (available from £4.99)
- tier points can be collected
The main differences occur when it comes to things such as luggage allowance, seat selection, seat pitch, and boarding options:
Economy Class | Checked baggage | Seat pitch | Extra legroom | Premium check in | Priority boarding |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Lite | no | 31" | no | no | no |
Classic | yes | 31" | for a fee | no | no |
Delight | yes | 34" | yes | yes | yes |
We've put together a much more detailed guide to the differences between these three options, so for even more information head over to our Virgin Atlantic economy guide to ensure you choose the right fare for you.
Virgin Atlantic Premium
If you're after a touch of luxury, then Virgin Atlantic's Premium (formerly, Premium Economy) is for you. As well as a dedicated check in service and bag drop, you'll enjoy extra space with comfortable 38" reclining seats with generous legroom.
From here you will sip on your welcome glass of bubbly, dine on fine cuisine served on real china, and sup an after-dinner liqueur before dipping into your complimentary amenities kit, complete with a toothbrush and eye mask.
Delve into the variety of films and music available in your personal entertainment system or, if on business, take advantage of the generous workspace. There's also an at-seat power socket to keep laptops and mobiles fully fuelled.
Virgin Atlantic Upper Class
Taking business class to a whole new level is Virgin Atlantic's Upper Class, where you'll get the full luxury experience. Once through the dedicated check in and private security channel (available at London Heathrow), you'll be whisked straight into the Clubhouse, which is specifically reserved for upper class passengers and Flying Club Gold members.
Here you'll enjoy a glass of champagne and plenty of space to work or play before being chauffeur driven directly to your aircraft. Once on board, relax in the privacy of your upper class seat that stretches into one of the longest flat beds in business class. There's also a fully-stocked in-flight bar as well as plenty of fine dining options.
You'll find the latest offers from Virgin Atlantic, which sometimes include discounts on certain cabin class travel.
Flying with children
Whether you have a newborn, toddler or young adult in tow, Virgin Atlantic has a package for every age. From baby cots and milk to special kids' seats, cartoons, films, activity pack and meals, your little ones are sure to be catered to during your journey. Check out the latest fare prices on the Virgin Atlantic website.
Treats with Virgin Atlantic
