Gaza Strip climate overview
The Gaza Strip is a narrow sliver of land along the Mediterranean coast on the border with Egypt. Refugees form about 60% of the population, concentrated in the main city of Gaza. Much of the area is barren with no vegetation.
The sub-tropical climate of the Gaza Strip is characterised by hot, dry, and sunny summers with virtually no rain, although humidity can become uncomfortably high. Winter temperatures are comfortable but frequent winter storms bring moderate rainfall from November to March.
