Kuwait weather overview
Imagine a European pattern of weather with much more sun and much less rain and you have the winter weather of Kuwait. However, this low-lying desert country has very hot summers which, although humid, are rainless.
No wonder air-conditioning is so popular here: there are times when scorching winds blow in straight from Arabia to make the already difficult heat well nigh unbearable. Occasionally, these hot winds whip up sandstorms; not a good time to be out of doors. Temperatures are a little lower on the Persian Gulf coast but humidity is higher so you are not much better off.
The best bet for those who can't function in extreme heat is to go in the winter or spring, when temperatures are much more moderate and can even get a bit chilly when northerly winds usher in cold air from Iraq. What rain there is falls between November and March but is light and very sporadic.
What to pack for Kuwait weather
Take very light, loose clothes for the summer with slightly warmer gear in the winter months. Pack a warm cover-up to combat that fierce air-conditioning!
