The leading Berlin-based online agency for booking tours and excursions, GetYourGuide^*, has revealed that bookings for spooky experiences across the UK have increased by 46% this year, proving that there's an appetite for a fun-filled Halloween.

In addition, GetYourGuide has shared the top experiences that UK users are booking. In London, bookings for the Ghost Walk & Spooky River Thames Boat Ride^* are up a whopping 1460% compared with 2019.

Meanwhile, the Scottish capital, which is renowned for its ghoulish tales, is clearly attracting those hungry for a thrilling experience: the Ghosts & Gore Walking Tour^* has seen a 400% increase in bookings, while the Old Town & Underground Ghost Tour^* is up by some 306%.

Other popular tours include the Comedy Horror Show Ghost Bus Tour^* in York, the 90-minute Dark Side of Liverpool Ghost History Tour^* and the Costumed Ghost Tour^* that meanders through Oxford's dark alleyways.
