Saga to insist on vaccinated travellers only on tours and cruises
It has been announced that anyone booked to travel with over-50s specialist Saga* in 2021 will have to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to join a tour or set sail on a cruise.
Holidays and cruises* are set to resume from May 2021 and, in addition to the vaccination, cruise passengers in particular will have to provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test prior to departure to ensure the well-being of everyone onboard.
In a statement, Saga said: "The health and safety of our customers has always been our number one priority at Saga, so we have taken the decision to require everyone travelling with us to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Our customers want the reassurance of the vaccine and to know others travelling with them will be vaccinated too."
As well as enhanced cleaning and safety protocols, Saga is limiting the capacity of its cruise ships to 800 people.
